Rob's song "This Lonely Place" was featured on MTV's hit reality show Teen Mom and his music was chosen as the theme songs for both the National Geographic Channel show Goldfathers and the History Channel show Sold! His music was also recently used in a series of national TV commercials for MiO Energy Water Enhancer.
Rob's music can also be heard on a variety of TV shows such as America’s Got Talent, American Idol Rewind, How I Met Your Mother, Entertainment Tonight, The Nate Berkus Show, Toddlers and Tiaras, The Soup, Flipping Out, Ace of Cakes, Let's Make a Deal with Wayne Brady and many others.
Rob's collaboration with film director Reid Waterer continues with the release of Performance Anxiety now playing in festivals around the world. Previously Rob scored Reid's You Can't Curry Love, which was accepted into over 50 festivals worldwide.
It would be hard to find a songwriter/composer with a richer musical background than Rob Johnson. Through the course of his 25-plus years in the music industry, his experiences have included work in such diverse disciplines
as television and film scoring, rock and roll, musical theater, cabaret and pop. During that time, he has written hundreds of songs, scored dozens of films, composed five musicals and contributed musical compositions to numerous TV shows, movie trailers, films and commercials.
Other projects for which he has composed music include trailers for Madea’s Family Reunion and Daddy’s Little Girl (both for Lionsgate); Heart of the Game (Miramax); Click, starring Adam Sandler; and Scoop, starring Hugh Jackman (Focus Features).
